NASAA President Joe Wescott recently attended the End of Course Dinner for the inaugural Warrior Scholar Program at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  Approximately two years ago while speaking at a Student Veterans of America National Conference in Texas, President Wescott met Ms. Alex Forrester, Director of Program Development for the Warrior Scholar Project (WSP), a nationally renowned program that addresses veterans' misperceptions about college and builds their confidence through an intense academic reorientation.  Through that connection and efforts which followed, the program expanded to UNC to serve veterans from across the country.  WSP continues to grow and to help even more enlisted military veterans develop and rediscover the skills and confidence necessary to successfully complete four-year undergraduate programs in higher education and NASAA continues to partner with VSOs and veteran service organizations which are committed to veteran success.
